Emily, I am also doing my study on a northern Virginia stream--Accotink Creek. I thought your study of the salinization of freshwater streams and rivers was fascinating, although scary. Also, I had no idea that the lead in the water in Flint Michigan resulted from salinization of the waterway there, which corroded the old lead pipes.
Emily, this is a really interesting topic and I appreciate that you talk about this from a broader perspective than just your watershed. This is a really serious concern and I think you did a great job of illuminating the issue in a variety of ways in your slideshow.
This is a great presentation on an important issue! I'm impressed with how well you explain the complexity of the issue so succinctly; the video at the end is a great addition as well.
